Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Turtle Bale Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as R-10 Fire Safety Solutions ("we", "our", "us"). Turtle Bale Limited is the provider of the services described below and the party you contract with.
2. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and continuing to use our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.
3. Description of Service
We provide fire door inspection certificate services for properties in the UK. Our service includes self-inspection guidance, third-party professional verification, and certificate issuance.
4. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your property and keep it up to date
- Follow inspection guidelines correctly
- Submit clear, accurate photographs that you have the right to share
- Ensure property access for verification if required
- Keep your account credentials confidential
- Pay applicable fees promptly
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not use it unlawfully, engage in fraud or spam, infringe anyone's intellectual property rights, or interfere with the security or integrity of the service (including malware, probing, or unauthorised scraping).
6. Payment Terms
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, invoicing and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy (30-day money-back guarantee) and Paddle's Refund Policy. Where a purchase is refunded, the related inspection credit is withdrawn and any certificate issued for that purchase is revoked.
7. Professional Standards
All inspections are subject to professional verification. We reserve the right to reject inspections that do not meet our standards or require additional verification.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
We provide certificates based on information and photographs provided by users. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, software, trademarks and other intellectual property on our platform remain the property of Turtle Bale Limited. You retain ownership of content you upload and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our services for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination you may request an export of your inspection records before they are deleted or anonymised in line with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
